How To Lose Weight with Friends

4 comments:
The other day, I went out to meet up a friend I haven't seen for the last 6 months.
It was a great dinner! And we ordered a lot of food, just for two ladies!
(Hey, we want to pamper ourselves too!)

Movie: Rise of the Guardians 2012

No comments:

Rise of the Guardians (2012)
Directed by Peter Ramsey.
Written by David Lindsay- Abaire, William Joyce (Books)
Starring: Chris Pine, Alec Baldwin, Hugh Jackman, Isla Fisher, Jude Law.

What's more can an Animated Movie from a big company like Dreamworks, and a list of super stars to give lives to the characters? A movie with animation so crisp with smooth details that make you wonder if this imagination is real, just a movie, or another dream.

The Rise of Guardians have amazing trailer and an even more enthralling story line. Loosely adapted from a children book - The Guardian of Childhood (by William Joyce), the movie brings us into the life of Jack Frost (voiced by Jack Frost), how an arrogant, carefree winter spirit wants nothing else but to be believed in and seen by the children and his journey towards becoming a guardian, sworn to protect the wishes, dreams, innocence and joy of the children.

I watched the movie myself and I honestly love the themes. Watching the story makes me wonder remember back those innocent days, when we still believe in Santa Claus, tooth fairy and all the sweet wondrous imaginations we all have, those dreams, those blue skies. When did they start becoming so gray? When did sweet dreams start becoming nightmares instead?

Overall, this movie is awesome for its lively characters and the animation, oh yes, the heavenly animation that makes imagination come alive!

You should really bring along your friends & family for a wild imaginative ride. This movie is worth it, splurge the money for a 2D cinematic quality! You will be so so awed.

Hyatt Regency Kuantan Resort @ Telok Chempedak-Pahang

So the other day (few months back), my family and I decided to go on a short trip to Telok Chempedak,  Kuantan!

As much as I hate to say it, Malaysia's beaches are pretty much polluted unless you travel to deserted islands. Surprisingly, this place exceeded my expectations.

And best of all, the place was quiet and peaceful.

We stayed in Hyatt Regency Kuantan Resort, and the beach was very well-maintained.

Quite a clean beach! And the sand was soft, soft, soft!

It was really quite. Felt like a private beach!

There are parts of the Telok Chempedak that is opened to the public, which is pretty crowded during the evening. We didn't walk all the way there so I couldn't tell you the condition of the beach is, but the part on the resort is very clean and quiet.

Kudos to Hyatt Regency for the maintaining work!

Unfortunately I didn't take many photos of the resorts. It's a 5-Star Resort alright, but a little too old and you could sense the old-age the moment you step into the room. Otherwise, the services and cleanliness are all great.

A very short weekend getaway with family, but definitely worth the time and money.
